Dr. Shaun Swindler is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist with a busy cataract and glaucoma surgical practice. He completed his medical degree at The Chicago Medical School and his Ophthalmology Residency at Indiana University, where he served as Chief Resident during his transitional year at St. Vincent Hospital. He holds a Master of Science in Applied Physiology from Rosalind Franklin University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Indiana University.

Originally from Indianapolis, Dr. Swindler spent ten years as a practice partner in Indiana — running a busy surgical clinic while sharing operational and strategic responsibility for the business — before relocating to Florida and joining the Florida Eye Institute in Vero Beach. He brings the perspective of someone who has both built a practice and chosen to focus on patients.

His clinical focus is cataract surgery (including premium IOLs and laser-assisted techniques) and glaucoma management, including the full range of MIGS procedures. He also handles oculoplastic procedures — blepharoplasty, ptosis repair, ectropion and entropion correction, Botox, and dermal fillers — that most comprehensive ophthalmologists refer out, allowing his patients to receive complete care without changing physicians. He additionally provides refractive surgery and medical retina services.
